The MumStrong Program

Led by qualified MumSafe™ Trainer Sarah Castley, this program is the only one of its kind in Hobart.

 

Running year-round and aligned with school terms, this foundational 8-week program is the ideal starting point—or gentle return—to regular exercise, gym training, team sports, or running, after having children. It's equally suited to those simply wanting to feel strong, capable, and ready to take on the demands of everyday life.

 

Thoughtfully designed to help you feel strong, move with confidence, and reconnect with your body, it supports you to train pain- and symptom-free—so you can feel like you again!

 

Research and evidence-based, this program has successfully helped return hundreds of women back to exercise safely and successfully!

MumSTRONG Class with Sarah Castley

What is MumStrong?

Child-friendly fitness class

Your first step back to exercise after having children—whether it’s been 6 weeks, 6 months, or 6 years!

 

Focused on restoring, reconnecting, and rebuilding your core unit, this Women’s Health Physio-supported program tailors exercises to your needs while progressively applying functional movement.

 

Babies and kids are welcome in class. 

 

Join a supportive community of women navigating the same motherhood journey, making it easier and more enjoyable to prioritise your health and well-being.

This targeted rehabilitation program offers:

 

  • Comprehensive pre-screening and personalised 1:1 consultation

  • Abdominal separation assessment (where applicable)

  • Weekly one-hour gym sessions over an 8-week term

  • Introduction or guidance returning to strength and conditioning training, including high impact activities- (running or team sport)

  • Customised and appropriate training options tailored to individual needs

  • A supportive and welcoming exercise environment

  • Capped at 10 participants

  • Babies and children welcome in class

  • Weekly educational sessions

  • Opportunities to connect with like-minded women sharing similar exercise goals

  • Discounted rates to attend STRONGER classes held at Lindisfarne Rowing Club

Note: Wednesday Lindisfarne will be offered - demand pending
